Purpose of the program

The MIXTURE software is the component of the Thermal Safety Software (TSS) series and represents a powerful and convenient tool for calculation of physical properties of liquid and gas multi-component non-ideal mixtures.

MIXTURE 2.8 can be used as a stand-alone application or in conjunction with DesK and InSafer software. MIXTURE is an obligatory part of the ConvEx-Pro, BST and Vent software.

Handling data

MIXTURE is essentially based on the MS Access. It is used as for storage of physical-chemical properties of an individual substance as for storage the Projects. A MIXTURE Project comprises the mixture composition and reference to the corresponding project is saved in a data Project of BST, VENT, ConvEx Pro, etc. A Project is composed by the User while working either with MIXTURE in autonomous mode or when MIXTURE is called in the spawned mode from other TSS programs.

Functionality of MIXTURE 2.8:

• Calculating properties for gas and liquid mixtures:

·         thermodynamic  properties;

·         equilibrium properties;

·         transport properties (thermal conductivity, viscosity, binary diffusion coefficients)

• Tacking account of non-ideality of a mixture by using cubic equation of state and UNIFAC;
• Using non-additive mixing rules;
• Estimating properties of pure compounds by using original technique;
• An internal data base containing carefully verified properties of more than 250 substances;
• Possibility to link MIXTURE to commercial databases such as DIPPR 801 and PPDS
• Possibility to link MIXTURE to a Customer specific data base can be provided on demand.

Installation

MIXTURE 2.8x and higher is compatible with Widows VISTA and 7.

ATTENTION! When installing MIXTURE under Windows 7 the recommended path is C:\Users\[username
