Current version:
2.0.0.
Download latest version of ARKS IK
Modifications:
Version 2.0.0, released 11 February 2026
New features:
- A powerful Advanced Reactor Geometry mode has been developed, which provides a much more convenient, flexible and friendly reactor-oriented way of simulation. It allows you to select one of 4 types of reactor geometry; then th program automatically calculates all reactor parameters such as reactor volume and reactor material mass, reacting mixture mass, heat transfer surface (depending on reactor filling ratio), temperature-dependent phi-factor.
- The Simple Reactor Geometry mode is still available, which is the same concept as in previous versions . This mode provides:
- full compatibility of new version with projects created by previous versions;
- use of experimental data loaded in ARKS IK. Indeed, experimental data don't contain detailed information about the reactor (in this case the cell of a thermo-analytical instrument), but only a limited set of general parameters;
- convenient way of preparing a project for simulation under adiabatic conditions or in a Forced temperature mode - in both these cases, reactor design details are not required.
- Two databases have been added to store reactor data (see Vessel database) and to manage material properties (see Properties databases)
- A unique new feature is the ability to perform isoconversional kinetic analysis of adiabatic data. This has been made possible by a simple method proposed for converting data from pseudoadiabatic experiments (such as ARC, VSP, Phi-Tec, and some others) into a format suitable for creating isoconversional kinetics.
- The demo data were carefully verified and improved; the useful articles were added into the DOC folder
1.0.5
Modifications:
Version 1.0.5, released 24 October 2022
New feature:
A new theoretically sound statistical method has been added. It is based on the use of the coefficient of determination R2 and is intended for measuring how well experimental data are predicted by the kinetic model created, and for evaluating the predictive power of a model as well as for testing hypotheses when there are several competing models.
Version 1.0.2, released 24 January 2020
Improved method for using isoconversional kinetics available from external sources by
applying the enhanced Copy/Paste commands in Simulation module. New registration key
is not required.
Version 1.0.1, released 31 July 2019
Improved procedure for creating additional cooling coils:
- maximal number of coils is limited by 10,
- rigorous check of the uniqueness of the coils' names
- adding coils for Adiabatic and Forced modes is forbidden
Version 1.0.0, released 10 May 2019 belongs to new TSS-ARKS software line
