Download latest version of ARKS FK
Modifications:
Version 2.1.0 released 11 February 2026
What is new in v. 2.1.0
- The “Advanced Reactor Geometry” mode has been improved to provide a more accurate and convenient way to design reactors with dished heads. Now, the parameters of ellipsoidal heads are calculated automatically based on the DIN 2803 Standard "Ellipsoidal dished ends"
- The demo data were carefully verified and improved; the useful articles were added into the DOC folder
2.0.0
Modifications:
Version 2.0.0 released 10 October 2025
The following major enhancements have been made:
- A powerful Advanced Reactor Geometry mode has been developed, which provides a much more convenient, flexible and friendly reactor-oriented way of simulation. It allows you to select one of 4 types of reactor geometry and then automatically calculate all reactor parameters such as reactor volume and reactor material mass, reacting mixture mass, heat transfer surface (depending on reactor fill factor), temperature-dependent phi-factor.
- The Simple Reactor Geometry mode is still available, which is the same concept as in previous versions of ARKS FK. This mode provides:
- full compatibility of v. 2 with projects created by previous versions;
- use of experimental data loaded in ARKS FK. Indeed, experimental data don't contain detailed information
about the reactor (in this case the cell of a thermo-analytical instrument or adiabatic calorimeter), but only a
limited set of general parameters;
- convenient way of preparing a project for simulation under adiabatic conditions or in a Forced temperature
mode; in both these cases, reactor design details are not required.
- Two databases have been added to store reactor data (see Vessel database) and to manage material properties.
- A significantly enhansed procedure for the initial estimation of the pre-exponent and activation energy which can be applied to models of any complexity and, in combination with a small manual adjustment of parameters, provides a good starting point for nonlinear optimization.
Version 1.2.6, released 26 August 2024
- The main modification concerns streamlining work with the internal properties database.
- Working with pressure-dependent kinetic models has been modified to make it clearer and more convenient..
Version 1.2.5, released 20 October 2022
New feature:
A new theoretically sound statistical method has been added. It is based on the use of the coefficient of determination R2 and is intended for measuring how well experimental data are predicted by the kinetic model created, and for evaluating the predictive power of a model as well as for testing hypotheses when there are several competing models.
Version 1.2.0, released 20 May 2022
New features:
- the possibility to simulate a reactor with temperature - dependent thermal inertia by taking into account variation of the substance and reactor material heat capacities with temperature;
- internal user-replenished data base of properties (heat capacity, density, vapor pressure via Antoine equation);
- import of data with all the available auxiliary information form ARKS AC;
- dynamic visualization of the parameters estimation course on the chart. It essentially helps in supervising optimization and undertaking certain actions for providing more efficient optimization, e.g. by changing the method options (when the Tensor method is used) or by changing some parameters if the initial values were too rough.
Version 1.1.0, released 13 January 2020
Improved algorithms used for working with pressure responses
Version 1.0.1, released 31 July 2019
Improved procedure for creating additional cooling coils
- maximal number of coils is limited by 10,
- rigorous check of the uniqueness of the coils' names
Version 1.0.0, released 10 May 2019 belongs to new TSS-ARKS software line
