Participation in the 7 HFCS-EM

  Conference

For the first time CISP expert participated in the 7-th International Heat Flow Calorimetry Symposium on Energetic Materials, hosted by the Center of Expertise for Lifetime Research, TNO Defense, Security and Safety, 17 – 19 May 2010 in Rijswijk, The Netherlands.
3 presentations have been given:
- "Specific Features of Kinetics Evaluation in Reaction Hazard Assessment";
- "The Thermal Safety Software series - overview of its structure and functionality",
- "Simulation-based procedure for assessment of thermal hazard of energetic materials"
The symposium gathered more than 50 participants from all over the world and was very informative both because of interesting presentations made and discussions that took place. Our special thanks to the Organizing committee for brilliant organization that made the meeting not only very useful but also very pleasant.

Important information for Users that work under Windows VISTA and 7

  Software

Windows VISTA and 7 apply much higher level of security as compared with Windows XP. Therefore some of our Users met problems when running CISP applications under these operational systems. To overcome possible confusion please bear in mind that CISP SOFTWARE MUST BE RUN BY A USER WITH THE ADMINISTRATOR PRIVILEGES. Another method is to run an application in “As Administrator” mode.

New versions of the CISP software are available

  Software

New versions/updates of our software are available on the CISP site.
New features of the latest releases.
1. Majority of the applications have been adjusted and verified under Windows VISTA and 7. The list includes ADPro, TDPro, ForK, DesK, InSafer, ReRank, ThermEx, ReactOp Cascade. Other applications will be verified soon.
2. New version of ForK – ForK 4 – has essentially enhanced set of models available, including reversible stages, long chains of consecutive stages, reactions with complex branched pathways.
3. New version of ThermEx Standard supports the enhanced set of formal models, created by ForK 4, the improved, more logical and convenient user interface, improved math methods.
4. ReRank 3 supports the enhanced set of formal models, created by ForK 4.
5. ADPro and TDPro include new data converter (TFC). It became more convenient and allows conversion of data of reaction calorimetry that include not only thermal but concentration responses.
