TDPro (Thermoanalytical Data Processing)
| Purpose of the program | |
The Thermoanalytical Data Processing (TDPro) program is intended for processing of experimental data of of thermoanalytical experiments and preparing them for kinetics evaluation. TDPro allows processing data of the experiments carried out by using the wide range of thermoanalytic devices (differential scanning calorimetry, heat flux and isothermal calorimetry, thermal gravimetry, and others). TDPro can be used independently in such fields as kinetics of chemical processes, study of thermal decomposition, determination of thermal physical properties of substances (heat capacity, phase transitions, etc.). | Loading data
The program provides importing, processing, and storing results of multi response thermoanalytical experiment (DTA, DSC, TG or DSC-TG). Data can be sampled with constant or variable rate. The data can be read from ASCII files by using the supplementary Text File Converter (TFC) program. TFC provides conversion of an original ASCII data file into the format acceptable for TDPro. A special option ensures loading binary data files created by Setaram software. | Storing data
TDPro provides storage of original and processed data into internal database which consists of data volumes (DV). Every DV includes number of data sets; each data set represents results of separate run. | Processing data
The following types of data processing are supported by TDPro: - filtering DSC, TG, and DTG responses, correcting pulse distortions (spikes);
- constructing DSC base line (linear and curve base lines);
- building complementary responses (Q(t) based on DSC; DTG response based on TG);
- subtracting responses of similar runs (experimental base line subtraction, etc.);
- integrating DSC peaks;
- deconvoluting DSC data (compensation of dynamic distortions due to thermal inertia of a cell);
- calculating sample heat capacity;
- thinning data (decreasing number of data points without loss of information);
- calculating the real temperature of a sample and estimating sample overheating;
- executing the statistical analysis of results of parallel runs;
- presenting data in graphic form in selectable axes;
- executing the statistical analysis of results of parallel runs;
- presenting and viewing several data sets simultaneously.
| Determining physical chemical properties | |
TDPro supports the following procedures for determining physical chemical properties: - calculating phase transition parameters (melting temperature and heat of fusion, etc);
- determining the thermal conductivity coefficient (by using C 80 Setaram device).
