AD Vita

ADPro (Adiabatic Data Processing)

Purpose of the program

The Adiabatic Data Processing (ADPro) program is intended for processing of experimental data of adiabatic experiments and preparing them for kinetics evaluation. ADPro allows processing data of the experiments carried out by using the wide range of pseudo-adiabatic calorimeters (the Accelerating Rate Calorimeter (ARC), VSP, RSST, DEWAR, and others).

Loading data

The program provides importing, processing, and storing results of one- or two-response adiabatic experiment (Temperature or Temperature + Pressure). Original data may be presented in integral (T, P) or/and derivative (dT/dt, dP/dt) form.

The data can be read from ASCII files by using the supplementary Text File Converter (TFC) program. TFC provides conversion of an original ASCII data file into the format acceptable for ADPro.

Storing data

ADPro provides storage of original and processed data into internal database. Database consists of data volumes. Every data volume includes number of data sets; each data set represents results of separate run. Processed data can be saved directly into ForK/DesK databases.

Processing data

The following types of data processing are supported by ADPro:

  • filtering responses; correcting pulse distortions (spikes);
  • building derivative responses (dT/dt, dP/dt) on the basis of integral ones and vice versa;
  • correcting Pressure Response on Pressure of Inert Gas;
  • correcting the Pressure Response on Vapor Pressure;
  • calculating Heat and Gas Production responses;
  • thinning data (decreasing number of data points without loss of information);
  • presenting data in graphic form in selectable axes;
  • presenting and viewing of several data sets simultaneously.
Multigraph data presentation

ADPro supports also the simultaneous presentation and viewing of several data sets. This mode gives very convenient way to make the comparative analysis of results of several separate experiments including such cases when various calorimeters where used for the study of the same sample.
